Catherine Downey grew up in Dallas, Texas, and came to know Jesus as her personal Savior as a young girl. As a teenager, she felt the Lord call her into ministry and attended Baylor University with the dream of moving overseas to share the gospel and see the world saved. She graduated from Baylor in 2020 and began working in ministry at her local church in Waco.

In 2023, the Lord opened the door for her to move overseas to help plant a church in northeast Scotland. She served there as a pastor until moving back to Texas in 2026. While overseas, she developed a love for discipleship, Scripture, and seeing people’s lives transformed through encountering the love of God.

She is so excited to be joining the Strategic Impact family and their decades of relationships and faithful pursuit of the gospel!

Catherine currently lives in Waco and delights in spending time in her garden and with the people she loves!
